The business continued to grow, introducing new websites to the platform to further consolitate their tech investments. Magento proved to be the most effective choice to support multiple online stores, migrating away from other proprietory systems.

In 2017 the decision was made to replatform to Magento 2, the merchant was like many, wary of Magento’s direction and whether Enterprise would deliver on ROI. In 2020 the business made the decision to migrate from UK Fast hosting to MDOQ, since the consolidated development and production hosting could offer significant savings with improved performance and cheaper development costs.

“MDOQ has proven very effective in terms of cost compared to our previous hosting company.” reports Angela Stokes, company Director.

“Since moving to MDOQ, we see far less friction with development and delivery of new features, taking advantage of far more regular website updates with less risk and cost than previously”

“The cost-savings on our new hosting have helped fuel further development in new technology such as Hyvä Themes and a new WMS integration”

“Right now, our annual expenditure for development and hosting is less than it was when we launched on Magento 2 in 2019, which is pretty staggering since this year alone we implemented Klaviyo, Mollie Payments and have almost completed our Hyvä theme rebuild. Magento has never been more cost-effective.”

“We are very excited to see what the next 3 years will bring, since we feel sure we are in control of our costs and have great foundations in Magento Open Source, Hyvä Themes and MDOQ Hosting”
